In recent times, the number 1411 has become extremely popular in India. Thats the total number of tigers currently surviving. Animal activists have been raising their voices for protection of our national animal from extinction .Support and awareness for this cause over the internet is at an all time high. ”Stripey the cub” is one such group in facebook. So here is something from my side. I present to you, “Streaky” the older brother of stripey, and folks he says ‘thank you’ for your support.
I have used quite a lot of pencils here,HB, 2B, 4B, 6B and 2H
This time, I just happened to stumble upon another theme – TEXAS . The very mention of the name texas, people relate it to the land of cowboys. True but that aint gonna be the first sketch. For the uninitiated, Austin, Dallas and Houston are the three major cities in Texas. I intend to draw something that relates with each city. I am a U of H alumni, so this one is representing Houston and University of Houston. Cougar, a mountain lion, is the mascot of U of H. I have tried to portray it here.
For the first time, I completed a sketch without erasing and in a single sitting, watching ‘pasanga’ side by side. I have used 4H, H and 4B pencils here.

I always loved to draw cartoons..Couple of months back when I happened to go to Fedex kinkos, I saw this greeting card on encouragement. It was very nice n funny. This toon is from that card… It kind of boosts the morale especiallyduring tough times.
I wanted to name this one as “the bully and the Bullied”..then settled for Raging Bull, as I felt this was more crisp and more popular coz of Robert DeNiro😛. Anyways this is the first time I used 4B, 6B pencils.
